Community Overview

 The CSRA is located along the eastern border of Georgia, with the Savannah River serving as the border between Georgia and South Carolina. Over the past 14 years, the total population grew by 14.01 percent, increasing from 481,576 persons in 2000 to 549,049 in 2016. Population actually grew significantly (exceeding state or national population growth) in two counties (Columbia and Bulloch), and actually six of our rural counties experienced population loss (Jefferson, Lincoln, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, and Wilkes).
